The Massenkoff Russian Folk Festival will bring its vibrant dance and music to Memorial Hall for the final performance of the Chadron State College Galaxy Series this spring.

The show, led by renown singer Nikolai Massenkoff, will appear in Memorial Hall on Thursday, April 21, at 7:30 p.m.

Massenkoff, who was born in the White Russian community of Shanghai, China, and now lives in San Francisco, has performed in over 40 states and seven countries, from New York’s Carnegie Hall to major performing arts centers, colleges and universities throughout the United States and abroad.

The Massenkoff Russian Folk Festival presents the Russian people in song, dance and music. It stars bass-baritone Nikolai Massenkoff and features a balalaika ensemble with virtuoso musicians and Russian folk ballet.

The songs are from the Tsarist Russia to contemporary Russia. The balalaika ensemble features individual artists, who are conservatory graduates, in solo selections of folk melodies. The Russian folk ballet includes dances from Russia and the neighboring countries.
